Pneumatic Valve Set-Up

In order to allow the filter switchover process to function with minimal
operator assistance, this system utilizes 2-way pneumatic valves on both filters.
This system is pre-assembled and will be ready to run upon delivery. All that is
needed on site in order for this system to work properly is a source of compressed
air to connect to the pneumatic manifold. The pneumatic manifold can be seen in
figure 4.5.

Once compressed air has been supplied to the pneumatic valves, have an
operator check to make sure all air tubes are securely in place and there are no
leaks. Once this has been done, the pneumatic valve system is ready for
operation.

Tramp Oil Skimmer

A tramp oil skimmer is provided to remove the accumulation of “tramp”
or unemulsified free oils from the surface of the “dirty” coolant tank.
This system incorporates two electrically powered squeegee rollers
capable of pulling up to 30 feet of “mop”, and achieving oil recovery rates of up
to 100 gallons/hour. The variable speed controller allows infinite adjustment of
Mop speed to achieve optimum purity of recovered product.
A single loop of attracting “mop” drops from the mop engine, travels
across the surface of the area to be skimmed, then is pulled back to the mop
engine where the oil is squeezed from the “mop” and manually collected.

Filter Changeover & Media Change Out

Media Change Out
A. The operator will be notified when the blow down process is complete and it
is ok to remove the cover and change out the filter media by a “waiting for
change” notification on the HMI screen
B. Remove the cover on the inactive filter
C. Remove the locking device located on top of each filter cartridge
D. Remove each filter cartridge from its positioning rod and replace it with a
new filter cartridge
E. Reattach the locking device on top of each cartridge. Make sure each
cartridge is securely in place
F. Replace the cover on the filter housing.
Note: When bolting the cover down, do not tighten one bolt and move
on to the next bolt in a clockwise or counter clockwise fashion.
Tighten one bolt and then tighten the bolt 180° opposite to the bolt
which was just tightened. Follow this process until each bolt is
firmly tightened and the cover is securely in place
NOTICE
SYSTEM WILL NOT DETECT IF COVER IS FASTENED
SECURELY. OPERATOR MUST BE CERTAIN COVER IS
PROPERLY BOLTED DOWN.

PPE Foshan builds an officially licensed Coolant Filtration System. As an alternative to the “pressure plate” design, the PPE Foshan system utilizes two pressure vessels for the filtering process. The “pressure vessel” design has shown increased efficiency and has become the industry standard.
The dual pressure vessels work in conjunction by equally sharing filtration duties. When the active vessel becomes full of contaminant the system automatically diverts flow to the inactive filter which is waiting with clean filter media.
The pressure vessel design eliminates down time associated with filter changes and significantly reduces operator input.
